The Beginning
As we get started on our blogging assignments, it will be interesting to see how this course unfolds. I have always been interested in blogs, wondered how they worked, and if they worked. I look(ed) at them as on online diary/journal. I have even heard the benefits of them, form helping with schoolwork, teaching, and other things. I even recall an article where a woman used blogging as a support for her weight loss. She later had some many followers that it helped her lose weight because of the 'support' system. I am interested in how much I can learn and then incorporate blogging into my classrooms. Only time will tell!

I'm looking forward to seeing how all this unfolds, too!
ReplyDeleteOne request:
Will you add an RSS feed to the class blog, too: http://edtc625fall.blogspot.com/
Sorry I didn't think of that earlier. This way, you'll also be updated when I post to the class blog.
Thanks!
Sarah, you and I are in the same boat. I think we can get good ideas from looking at others' blogs and seeing what can be done.
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteI am newer to blogs as well. I have decided to create a blog for the teachers at my school to view for new ways to use technology in their classroom. I think this class will help me keep it updated (at least for this semester, and hopefully I will get used to making posts and will be able to keep it up to date after class as well). The only bummer is that we can't access blogger at work, so I have to copy and paste my posts to a blog in edublogs. I think we will learn many different ways that we can use blogs in our classrooms as well, and I am also excited to see new ways!!

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteJust realized I didn't post my original comment here from when I was having trouble with the server! I hope as these few weeks have passed that you have begun to see the benefits of using blogs in the classroom and in life!
